Hello and welcome!
‘About me’ paragraphs are awkward to write but let me try to give you a sense of who I am.
I have always loved words. From flash-cards when I was a child to captivating novels that kept me from my homework as a teen. In university, I developed a deep appreciation for reading theoretical work too, as I completed my bachelors degree in film and media production (2012) and swiftly went on to specialize in documentary filmmaking for my honours degree (2013). Thinking my studying days were over, I lectured for a year in Johannesburg until my husband and I decided that big-city life didn’t make us smile much.
We moved to my husband’s hometown and I had the opportunity to begin my masters degree (UCT), specializing in television theory. I passed with a distinction. One of my goals is to complete my PhD but for now, we are raising a family.
One of my favourite parts of writing my dissertation was editing and proofreading my own work. However, it became obvious that it was imperative a professional go over my work and make it the best it could possibly be. This got me thinking about how much I would enjoy reading different texts and helping someone TWEAK their work into its best version. It took me no time to enrol and complete a training course in this field.
I know how daunting it can be to hand over your work. Trust me, I’ve been there! But I guarantee that I will be friendly, honest and efficient.
